The Cambridge Oktoberfest takes place at Jesus Green Park, offering a festive weekend celebration in early October. The event features a large tent accommodating 2,000 guests, where visitors can enjoy authentic German beer, food, and music. Entry fees are £10 on Friday and Saturday afternoon, with £15 on Saturday evening. Guests can savor German culinary delights like Bratwurst, Schnitzel, and Pretzels, or opt for a package that includes food, beer, and a reserved seat. Entertainment is provided by a Bavarian band, playing a mix of traditional Oompah music and popular German Schlager.
Mashpee Oktoberfest
Oktoberfest Mashpee is an annual one-day event organized by the Town of Mashpee Special Events Committee. This free family-friendly event offers a day of fun while celebrating German culture with a local twist. The festival promises a full day of entertainment, including performances by The Vagabonds, dance demonstrations, keg toss competitions, children’s games, face painting, and crafts. The event also features a variety of fair-style food and over 30 craft vendors. Mashpee’s Oktoberfest activities kick off at 10 AM and continue into the night, attracting a large crowd.
Harvard Square Oktoberfest
Harvard Square Oktoberfest, the oldest in Massachusetts, has been celebrated since 1978. This event combines live music, international cuisine, and diverse arts and crafts with beer and wine gardens from local establishments like Alden & Harlow and El Jefe’s Taqueria. The cultural experience is enriched by the participation of the Filipino American Festival, celebrating Filipino culture with music and food. A parade, a highlight of the event, features over 30 HONK! bands, moving from Davis Square to Harvard Square, inviting public participation and street dancing. Additionally, the Rotary Club of Cambridge hosts the “Chalk on the Walk” art installation on Church Street, showcasing vibrant street art.
Wachusett Oktoberfest
